James Boyd (1928 - 2002)

James Boyd had an illustrious background as an artist both nationally and internationally.

You have have seen one of his many doors gracing some of the finest homes in Canada or you may recall the massive West Coast stylized sculpture commissioned by the government of Canada which welcomed visitors from around the world to the Canadian Pavilion at the World Exposition in Japan.

From bank note engraver in the forties to instructor or resident artist at many of the the finest art schools in Canada, James Boyd has excelled and consistently won the respect and admiration of any who have beer honored to work with him.

As expected his work has found place in such collections as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the National Gallery of Canada.
